QITL-4
4th Conference on Quantitative Investigations in Theoretical Linguistics
Since 2002, Quantitative Investigations in Theoretical Linguistics (QITL) has offered a forum for researchers approaching problems in theoretical linguistics from a quantitative point of view. The conference offers a platform for diverse areas of linguistics, from phonology through morphology, syntax, semantics or pragmatics, in both corpus-based, psycholinguistic/experimental or computational methodologies approaching problems in grammar, first and second language acquisition, historical linguistics and more.
The 4th QITL conference was held at Humboldt University in Berlin, by the Institute for German Language and Linguistics. The conference took place between Monday and Thursday, 28-31 March 2011 at the Humboldt Graduate School building in Luisenstr. 56 (see venue information).
As in previous years, the conference aimed to be a small, high quality, single session meeting with long discussions and ample time dedicated to getting to know our colleagues and their work. Following the success of the poster session on QITL-3, QITL-4 accepted both talks and poster submissions. All contributions appear in the conference booklet regardless of the presentation type.
